Courses & Class Management

Learn how to organize your notes inside courses, manage multiple classes, keep your study sets structured, and stay on top of your academic workflow in Lurna.

1. Creating and Linking Courses to Notes

Courses allow you to group all your notes and study materials under the subjects you’re learning. This creates a clean structure for managing classes throughout the semester.

How to create a course:

  • Go to the sidebar and click + New Course
  • Give it a name like “Introduction to Biology” or “Computer Programming”
  • Add an optional course tag like "BIO 101" or "CSCI 1933" along with year, professor name, and any additional information

Linking notes to courses:

  • Choose a course when creating a new note
  • Linked notes automatically keep your study sets organized

Why it matters:

  • All study sets generated from that note stay in the same course
  • Your dashboard becomes cleaner and easier to navigate
  • You can quickly switch between classes while studying

Set up your courses once - and Lurna keeps everything structured.

2. Managing Study Sets by Folder

When you generate study sets from your notes, you can choose to organize them in folders to keep everything tidy.

Viewing study sets:

  • Open any folder to see all related flashcards, quizzes, and summaries
  • Sort by type or date created
  • Filter to quickly find what you need before an exam

Managing sets:

  • Move study sets to different units or folders
  • Assign a set to another folder if needed
  • Archive old sets at the end of the semester
  • Regenerate or refine AI outputs anytime

Why it helps:

  • Keeps multiple study sets organized
  • Makes exam prep faster and structured
  • Ensures nothing gets lost in your dashboard
